Facilities
1. SFC BFK structure node (station 15) — Khakulabad water divider; 2. SFC BFK structure node (station 66)
Project overview

As part of the comprehensive program to automate Uzbekistan's water management, Sigma Pro delivered two interconnected projects on the supplementary feeding canal of the Big Fergana Canal (SFC BFK) — both facilities are located below the Uchkurgan Hydro Facility and integrated into the unified Syrdarya BWO dispatch network.

Both structure nodes are equipped with a dispatch and automation system (D&A) transmitting data via GPRS channels to the Central Dispatch Point of the Syrdarya BWO in Tashkent. This ensures unified operational control over water distribution across the entire SFC BFK.

Facility 1: SFC BFK station 15 — Khakulabad water divider
  • Automatic monitoring of water levels and flows at the water divider in real time;
  • Transmission of operational data via GPRS to the Syrdarya BWO CDP (Tashkent) without delay and without on-site staff;
  • Integration into the unified data transmission network of the Syrdarya river basin;
  • Monitoring of gate status and alerting in abnormal situations.
Facility 2: SFC BFK station 66
  • Remote monitoring of water levels and flows at the SFC structure node at station 66;
  • Automatic archiving of technological parameters and generation of reports for state supervisory authorities;
  • Integration into the Syrdarya BWO data network via GPRS channels — a unified control interface together with the PK15 facility;
  • Data transmission to the CDP in Tashkent — the dispatcher controls both facilities from a single center.
Combined effect of the two projects
Full SFC coverage
two nodes at PK15 and PK66 provide continuous monitoring of the lower section of the SFC BFK
Unified water accounting system
every cubic meter of water on the SFC is accounted for automatically — the basis for fair water use
Integration into BWO
both facilities operate within a unified dispatch network — data flows to the common Tashkent CDP
Scalability
the standard solution is ready for replication at other stations and sections of the Fergana Valley canal network
Facility location
  • SFC BFK, below the Uchkurgan Hydro Facility, Fergana Valley, Republic of Uzbekistan
