Zardarya Canal head regulator on the Syrdarya River Dispatch and automation system D&A — Akhunbabaev Canal GPRS data transmission to Syrdarya BWO Tashkent
Client
Syrdarya BWO / Zardarya Canal Directorate
Water source / Region
Syrdarya River, Republic of Uzbekistan
Facility
Head regulator and spillway structure of the Zardarya Canal (formerly Akhunbabaev) on the Syrdarya River
Project overview

SIGMA PRO delivered a dispatch and automation system (D&A) project for the head regulator and spillway structure of the Akhunbabaev Canal — currently named the Zardarya Canal. The facility is located on the Syrdarya River and is an important irrigation structure supplying water to the region's agricultural lands.

The project aims at the digital transformation of water distribution management: transitioning to remote monitoring and automatic data collection, with integration of the facility into the unified Syrdarya BWO data transmission network.

Tasks addressed
  • Remote monitoring of water levels and flows at the canal head regulator — automatic, without on-site staff;
  • Monitoring the status and position of the head regulator and spillway gates in real time;
  • Transmission of telemetry data via mobile operators' GPRS channels to the Syrdarya BWO CDP (Tashkent);
  • Archiving of technological parameters: levels, flows, gate positions — for analytics and state reporting;
  • Automatic alerting of the on-duty dispatcher about abnormal situations and critical parameter deviations.
