Upper Chirchik Hydro Facility (UCHF) on the Chirchik River — dispatch and automation system (D&A)
Project overview
Sigma Pro modernized the software of the dispatch and automation system (D&A) of the Upper Chirchik Hydro Facility — one of the first water-management automation facilities in Uzbekistan, commissioned back in 2000.
The modernization task was to migrate the system to a modern software platform while preserving data continuity, to expand dispatch control functionality, and to ensure compatibility with the current Syrdarya BWO data transmission infrastructure.
Work performed
- ✓Analysis of the current state of the UCHF D&A: software audit, identification of bottlenecks and outdated components;
- ✓Upgrade of the upper-level SCADA platform: new operator interface, modern mnemonic diagrams, expanded analytics tools;
- ✓Modernization of mid-level (PLC) software: updating gate control algorithms and sensor data processing;
- ✓Updating data transmission protocols to the Syrdarya BWO CDP (Tashkent) and the local dispatch point (Chirchik);
- ✓Testing and commissioning of the updated system, staff training.
