Project overview

As part of the modernization of critically important infrastructure, the design and launch of a SCADA system and data transmission network for the Upper Chirchik Hydro Facility (UCHF) were carried out; the project was delivered taking into account the specifics of hydraulic structures and the need to transmit telemetry information over long distances in real time.

To ensure stable communication in conditions of complex terrain and remote facilities, a data transmission architecture based on professional ICOM IC-F420 radios was chosen — this guarantees the system's autonomy and resistance to external factors without dependence on public networks.

Tasks addressed
  • ✓Deployment of the SCADA system Mikro&SYS: collecting, archiving, and graphically displaying data from level, gate, and gauging-station sensors in real time;
  • ✓Setting up a radio channel based on ICOM IC-F420 — fully autonomous, independent of the internet and public mobile operators;
  • ✓Configuration of end-to-end data transmission to the Syrdarya BWO CDP (Tashkent) and to the local dispatch point (Chirchik);
  • ✓Real-time parameter monitoring: water levels and flows, gate positions, emergency signals with immediate transmission to the on-duty dispatcher;
  • ✓Putting the system into permanent operation: commissioning, staff training, technical documentation.
