Kuyganyar Hydroscheme on the Karadarya River: new dispatch and automation system, plus restoration and upgrade of the D&A system commissioned in 2004
Scope
- Regulating water supply to the Great Fergana Canal (GFC);
- Monitoring water level and flow at the rated GFC gauging station, about 7 km downstream of the hydroscheme;
- Metering water delivered to the Siza Canal using rating data from the Siza gauging station;
- Monitoring the water level in the upstream pool of the hydroscheme (the Karadarya approach channel);
- Remote control of 31 hydraulic gates from the control room: water supply to the GFC and the Siza Canal, and discharge to the Karadarya through the spillway and cross-regulator structures;
- Archiving process data: water levels, flows at the GFC and Siza gauging stations, and gate positions relative to structure sills;
- Sending operational data to the BWO Syrdarya central control room in Tashkent.
